Custom Log Forwarder

Eliminate the need to skid logs and pull trucks long distances with ARDCO's K-6x6 Custom Log Forwarder (CLF). Maintain year-round logging operations under the most adverse job-site conditions. Built like a skidder with 6-wheel drive, the ARDCO CLF can travel up to 20 miles per hour on high flotation tires.

STANDARD FEATURES:

FRAME: Heavy-duty tubular steel frame and heavy-duty logging trunnion; frame tubing is 4" x 8" on front frame and 4" x 10" on rear frame with transition section 4" x 18".

ENGINE: Cummins 6CTA-8.3 Turbocharged, After-cooled, diesel engine rated at 234 BHP at 2200 RPM, 631 ft. lbs. of torque at 1500 RPM; dual element air filter (dry type with precleaner); high temperature and lo oil pressure emergency shut-down system.

TRANSMISSION: Funk model 2000 Powershift transmission with six forward speeds and four speeds reverse, 14-inch converter. Oversized oil cooler is designed to keep transmission oil temperature lower than manufacturers' limits.

AXLES: Rockwell model PR-672 heavy-duty planetary type with Detroit "No Spin" in front and rear axles. Air actuated inner axle differential lock-up in center drive through axle.

STEERING: Hydraulic actuated double 4-inch cylinders articulated center pivot steering with plus/minus 37 degrees articulation.

OSCILLATION: Plus/minus 20 degrees between front and rear frame.

BRAKES: Six-wheel disc brakes with park brake.

SUSPENSION: Front axle rigid mounted to front frame. Rear suspension is ARDCO R-700 series walking beam with rubber bushings.

BRUSHGUARD: Front bumper extended full width of tires, heavy-duty front tow hooks, belly pans and engine side panels.

TIRES AND WHEELS: Set of six 66 x 43 -25, 12-ply flotation logging tires (steel shield) mounted on heavy-duty bead lock steel rims.*

CAB: One-man skidder cab fully enclosed with woven mesh, two doors, buck-type seat with seat belts, built in Rollover Protection Structure.*

INSTRUMENTATION: Engine water temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, key ignition, ammeter, electric tachometer and hourmeter, transmission temperature gauge and back-up alarm.

FUEL TANKS: Twin 30-gallon tanks.

AIR SYSTEM: 12 CFM engine mounted air compressor with air reservoir mounted on rear frame.

ELECTRICAL: 12-volt heavy-duty batteries; heavy-duty wiring for all-weather operation; heavy-duty alternator, voltage regulator and electric starter. All electrical functions are connected to the keyed ignition switch and enclosed in conduit or other applicable sheathing where required.

ACCESSORIES: Head lights, top cab lights, front and rear work lights, Raycor Fuel/Water Separator.

BUNKS: Two sets with swivel stakes on rear frame, set to haul 16- and 23-foot logs.

LOADER: Barko 80 tractor-mounted with 20-ft., 4-in. boom reach and 1/4 NCR bypass grapple (no outriggers). Controls are mounted in rear of cab with swivel seat, foot-operated swing, and hand control levers for boom and grapple operation.

PAINT: ARDCO yellow or customer choice of one color.
