The K 4x4 platform when combined with ARDCO, or other manufacturer’s, equipment provides a rugged and reliable system for the most demanding geotechnical work. ARDCO Model C-1000 Geotechnical Drill

  • MAST: 16’ Welded Tubular Steel for use with 10’ (3.1 meter) drill pipe
  • ROTARY: ARDCO heavy-duty Top-Head drive rotary assembly, hydraulically driven through 3” ( 7.6 cm) wide straight tooth gears with a 5.923 : 1 gear ratio.
  • TORQUE: up to 700 lb. ft (950 nm) speed 300 rpm (optional Torque to 1200 lb. ft. (1628 nm)
  • DRAWWORKS: Two Continuous #80 1” (2.5 cm) roller chains actuated though a Ramsey 35X speed reducer. Pull-UP or Pull-Down: 6,000 lbs (2,722 kg). Speed to 100’ (30.5 meters) per minute.
  • PIPERACK: Heavy duty pipe storage rack located on right side of drill unit.
  • AUXUALLARY LIFT WINCH: Hydraulic cable drum with 150’ (76.2 m) of 7/16” cable driven hydraulically including mast mounted cable pulley and weight
  • MUD PUMP OPTIONS: Gardner Denver 4 ½” X 5” (11.43 cm X 12.70 cm) reciprocating type mud pump; Gardner Denver 5” X 6 “ ( 12.70 cm X 15.2 cm) reciprocating type mud pump; Center Line hydraulic driven model CLM 7.5” X 10” (19.1 cm X 25.4 cm) MSPA Mono Capacity: Continuous 150 gpm (1567 lpm), 0- 200 psi (13.8) bar
